10/30/2004 - I am almost 25 weeks pregnant (10/30/04) with triplets, so far so good.

We have a daughter who is 2 years old (2/18/02 birthday). We got pregnant with her the same exact way as with these triplets.
It took 4 years of trying to get pregnant with Thalia so we figured it would take a long while. We tried unsuccessfully for about 1 year to get pregnant again, then we went back to the fertility clinic. On our 2nd medicated cycle I got pregnant.

I got pregnant with the help of Gonal-f and HCG (fertility meds).

I did not do IUI or IVF.

When i went in for my last appt. before getting pregnant the ultra sound tech. said she couldnt believe i wasn't going to do IUI or IVF because people like me just dont get pregnant without it! Well she was wrong, and i cant wait to see her face when i walk in the office with 3 babies!

We found out it was triplets pretty early on. My beta (blood preg. test.) levels came back really high so we were expecting to see twins, I was laying on the table and I saw 3 blobs! I couldnt believe it! I figured I had no idea what I was looking at. The ultra sound tech (different from the rude lady) was so quiet. Finally I said, so twins, and she said, well I see 3!! I was in complete shock.

After many tears, from pure fear, and after the long talk about selective reduction, killing 1 or 2 of the babies which i knew from the moment mentioned we would NOT do it, with the dr. i walked out and called wally on his cell.

Wally was out of town working. He was in shock and couldnt say anything. I went immediatly to starbucks and got my last regular Ice cafe latte, I told him I deserved it!

We told the parents about 1 week later. We needed support, we were so afraid. ever since then, they have given us tons of muchneeded support and we are taking it 1 day at a time.

We are no longer afraid of having 3 babies at 1 time, we are so happy and excited that it makes us cry. We just hope Thalia is just as happy as us when these miracles get here.
