Home Up

1/31/2005 - The babies are here!
I do not have much time, go figure, to update so i will try to put a little in to update you here and there. i will also add pictures of the babies as soon as i can.

After 3 weeks of bedrest in the hospital over thanksgiving i begged my dr. to let me out, which the wonderful man did. i then spent 4 weeks at home on bedrest. i just wanted to get through christmas. I didnt want to miss a moment of watching Thalia enjoy it.

Well on 12/28 I had a routine weekly check up and i told the dr. that i was feeling off and my back was a little achey. He decided to check me and i was dilated to 4 and 80% so he admitted me to the hospital and told me if i had any more changes then i would be delivering the next day. After getting settled into the hospital we all realized i was in labor. the monitors were showing good strong contractions every 3-5 minutes. I had them all night and they checked me the next morning and i was dilated to 5 and membranes were buldging, they told me not to get up or sit up or anything. That was on 12/29 about an hour after they checked me i was having my c-section.

The c-section itself wasnt bad, the recovery is horrible. I will never forget hearing the Dr. say it is a girl, it is a boy AND..... its another girl! YIPPPEEEE!!!! then he said OH WAIT! and everyone laughed, i told him that wasnt funny, not to joke about there being a 4th, lol. It was a great experiance. I would do it all again in a heartbeat.

They all weighed and measured around the same. From 4# 3oz- 4# 5oz and all measure a little over 17 inches.

They are now a month old, and Baby A is Olivia michelle and weighs 5# 1oz and is 19 inches long, Baby B Elijah Faustino weighs 5# 15oz (not sure how long he is) and Baby C Nadia Rose is 5# 2oz and also is 19 inches long.

They are getting so big so fast. They are all on a 4 hour schedule. The girls came home nice and healthy on 1/20th but Elijah had to stay in until 2/1st, he is dealing with a little bit of apnea and reflux. He is coming home on a monitor to let us know when he stops breathing. He hasnt had an "episode" since 1/20th. They are all so healthy and so good.
They all sleep for 4 hours then get diapers changed, then eat, and go back to sleep pretty fast.

I will update more as soon as possible.

OH and YES i am BREASTFEEDING! but not as much as i had hoped to. I pump and give the babies expressed breast milk, they also get put to the breast and they also get formula.
